Become a Standard, Silver or Gold level Champion

All your business needs to do in order to become a Plastic Free Champion, is to make 3 swaps from single-use plastic items to more sustainable alternatives. Once you have done this, you then need to state what your company could tackle in the future to make even further improvements.

When we have received the information on which items you are eliminating from your business and what your actions are for the future, you will receive a certificate and award from us to display to your community and customers - and show that you’re taking action!

However, if you believe that your business is already proactive on tackling single-use plastic, then how about becoming a Silver or Gold level Champion? To find out more about these levels, please download our toolkit or contact us for information.

Examples of the top offenders that businesses swap out include:

  • Plastic bottles
  • Takeaway coffee cups
  • Plastic carrier bags
  • Plastic takeaway packaging
  • Plastic drinking cups
  • Bathroom plastic
  • Balloons and plastic decorations
  • Plastic packaging
